Omaha Poker
Omaha Poker is very similar to Texas Hold’em. The main difference is that players receive four private cards, rather than two. Each player’s final hand must be made up of exactly two private cards and exactly three of the five community cards that are dealt. Aside from these changes the game progresses just as Texas Hold’em progresses.
There are several variations on Omaha Poker. One of the most popular is Omaha Hi-Lo, in which the final pot is split between the players with the highest and lowest hands. This adds an extra element of strategy and excitement to the game.
Five-Card Draw
Five-Card Draw is very different from Texas Hold’em the aforementioned games because no community cards are used. Each player receives five private cards and then may choose to exchange some of their cards for new cards to increase the value of their hand. Following a round of betting, players can choose again to exchange cards in their hand. Another round of betting occurs and then the players remaining in the game reveal their hands to determine the winner.
